These two stand to lose everything!

This is a call to action! I am hoping that you are loyal to the “Bryan Cause” and care for his well-being as a result of you being a blog-follower. If so, please read the information below and act immediately before it’s too late.

My mother, Bryan’s Grandma, will be 104 in May. Bryan will be 44 on the same date in May. Both stand to have their lives upended in an unacceptable way should things continue on the predicted government trajectory of cutting Medicaid funding.

Please contact your senator and representative now! The current proposed budget draft calls for at least a $1.5 trillion in spending cuts with Medicaid facing some of the deepest cuts.

Older Americans who rely on Medicaid to live out the rest of their days in comfort like my mom , will be displaced.

Individuals like Bryan who have home and community-based services are at risk of losing critical supports that allow them to live independently. This will also lead to longer waitlists for those waiting for waiver funding and higher rates of institutionalization. We do NOT want to go back in time!

Members of Congress rely on feedback from their constituents when making decision on public policy. Studies show that direct outreach from constituents is the most effective way to influence legislators – your voice truly makes a difference!

Please contact your Congressmen and women today to preserve I/DD Services and Medicaid for those who desperately rely on this funding – both Mom and Bryan.

Thank you!
